check engine light

COULD ANYONE TELL ME WHY LIGHT CAME ON WHEN EXHAUST WAS MODIFIED ???
AFTER DRIVING FOR AWHILE,AND SHUTTING DOWN FOR ABOUT AN HOUR,I STARTED ENGINE AND NO MORE LIGHT,IS THIS NORMAL?????THANKS FOR ANY INFO YOU GUYS CAN OFFER !!!!

Joe,
Try pulling the code and see what tripped the light... . If you don't have a manual, one of the TDR members will respond with the breakdown... .....

CCAHILL,thank you for info,the light went out I guess after computer caught up,I was told i freeked it out when i redid exhaust,next time i'm going to disconnect batteries,wait for a few minutes and re connect. I'm haveing trouble with inconsistant lock up with b-d break and I think I'll try battery trick to fool computer thanks again for info. JDM JOE
