Have tried to pull the engine code and have not succeeded. Cycle on/of 3-6 times, nothing show on my odometer. Water in fuel light is on, Showing oil pressure before turning engine over. Tried disconnecting battery, check engine light still on. Have just replaced boots. This is second post re problem

I did not think the 3 key cycle trick worked on the 99???

Is your truck running? If so, AutoZone will check your codes for you.

Early - mid 99 don't display codes w/the 3 key on-off deal. Just saw mini ODBII scan code reader on sale @ Pep Boys for $69 in Sunday's paper. rgreen - what are the "boots" you just replaced???

The 4 rubber connectors in the turbo line. Still showing water in fuel light oil presure before and after cranking and the check engine light. Figure something must be grounding or shorting between the water in fuel and oil preasure?? r of course could be unrelated.

Turns out my VanAiken box is malfunctioning. Truck works fine when boost is disconected. Thought you might like to know.

Bummer on the box, great that you figured it out and can fix it relatively easily. Thanks for following up.
