The check engine light just turned on yesterday & im wondering if it has anything to do with the Bulley Dog, Programmer that I just put into it. I got the Torque Dog with the 3 possition switch (stock, 40HP & 60HP) or something like that). It seems pretty coincedental that shortly after I put it in it give me a code.

I am going to try to get it scanned tonight after work, but was wondering if anyone knew of a reson this might be happening.

thanks

Make sure that you have a good ground and every thing is pluged in good.

 And fill out your Profile so we will know what truck you have.

Duhhhhhhhhhhhh, Sorry. I edited my sig to reflect it. in short I have nothing added to it. the Box was the only thing I added to the truck besides gauges.

Hopefully I can get it scanned tonight & find out what the confuser says is going on.

thanks

I finally got to scan the truck last night (Late last night). it came up with 2 codes:

P0237 Turbo/Supercharger boost sensor A Circuit low input

P0237 Pd Turbo/supercharger boost sensor A Circuit low input

I took those right off of the scan tool. when I went to my service manual it says:

Map sensor Voltage input below minimum acceptable voltage

So I guess the question is, did the boost sensor just die, or is the Bully Dog Box causing the code?

I do have a boost gauge on the truck & the boost is not any different than its ever been. its still 20Lbs @ WOT & right @ 6 to 6. 5 Lbs @ 70 MPH on flat ground.

one thing to note is that the check engine light went out & then came back on again so I switched the bully Dog box back to "stock HP level" & the SES light back on. I have not unplugged the Bully Dog Box altogether. The instructions that came with it say that in pos 1, it does no modification. pos 2 it alters timing. pos 3 it alters timing & fuelling.

thanks a bunch guys.

IF the BD has a MAP jumper, check the conections. If that does not help, try reconnectting the stock wires only to the MAP sensor.

I had a TST box on for one day, when I removed the box I got that code. Re-connecting the stock MAP wire fixed it.

thanks Jim, I will connect it back up & see if the code comes back.

if it does not, then what do I do? I would hate to think I have to throw this box in the trash, but if it keeps setting codes all the time I dont think I want it on my truck.
