My check engine light just went on. Not sure why... . oil press good, oil pan full, elec. - volts good, temp. good... ... not sure what else to check. Any ideas.

24v, 1999, 3500, engine's stock (no muffler), K&N Air Cone.

What other info should I post?

thanks in advance,

Erik

Hit Auto Zone, or some other auto parts place to get your codes checked and cleared. Auto Zone does it for free, dealers charge out the arse.

Post back what your codes are.

Well, 2 day went by driving with Check Engine Light on... . Made me real nervous. Soo, I parked it, plugged it in, & said goodnight. As I walked away, I explained that it was not nice to do this to me for all the care I put into her!! Well, lo & behold... I woke up this morning & started her up, & as I glanced at the dash, I noticed the CTD faries had visited me overnight & reset that pesky little light for me.

*Not a clue what it was... should I still have my codes checked?

Yes, the light goes out after a given time, but the codes stay. Chances are it is not that severe now, but could be if not addressed.

Find a place that has an OBDII scanner and have them pull hose codes and clear them.

Cant you check the codes on that year by turning the ignition on/off-on/off and on? Seems like I read this somewhere before.

You should be able to get the codes and look in the Haynes manual and fin out what it is. If you have the Chrysler shop manual even better.

Good Luck

Don
