I have a 2004 with the following codes 628 606 483 336.

I have a TST & in the troubleshooting guide for it they say that the 606 & 336 are related to the TST & need not be worried about. How ever I need to know what the other two codes are.

This weekend was the first trip towing with the TST. The trip was about 700mi round trip. The light did not come on during the first part of the trip but when we started home it came on with in the first 2mi. The truck ran like a champ & pulled fine so I kept the hammer down. Also how do I clear the codes? Just unhook the battery?

I, to will get a CEL when towing, however it is just for a milisecond. In fact I think that I miss some of them in daylite because they're that quick. Any ideas on what this could be????

Yes!, There's a S/W update for your truck that will stop this. I've had it done and the truck hasn't flickered at me since. It also helps with the sticky throttle syndrome us manual transmission guys have.

My light did not flicker it came on & stayed on. Where can I find out what these codes mean? I can call the dealer but all he will tell me is what the code list says. I want to know in laymans terms what they mean.

Prairie Dog, what did you tell the dealer when you got this software update? I have noticed that my CEL will flicker the same as dezeldog mentioned.

Thanks,

Jeff

I had read about the TSB and just told them I wanted the S/W update that fixed this problem. I gave them the TSB# and they happily obliged. I'm at work rite now so I don't have the TSB# but it's listed in the last TDR news letter.
