Check Gages light

Had it back to them yesterday for check gages light. Well they were told by Star that they have a re-flash coming out(think its in April for that)so I have to wait a little longer. While it was there they did recall CO2 -reprogram engine control module for sudden acceraltion,have not had any problems with what that was for. Had them replace the top cover to the air filter cause when I opened it up the other day one of the tips that it slides into broke off so I got a new top cover with air filter minder. Then when I got home I took the stock filter out and put one of those AFE in WOW You can tell a difference.

When you say, what a difference on the filter, could you elaborate a little more? I have noticed that mine seems to smoke up the fender pretty bad. I am hoping that with better air flow this will alleviate some of this.

It is just more responsive. I can feel it,she wants to go. I find myself winding it out more than before. It just seems like it gets there quicker. Have not took the silencer ring out yet-but its on the list. This is just my observations. Darn check gages light flashed again this morning.

How many times has the check guages light flashed? Mine did it about 5 times and that was it. None since 2000 miles. That seems to be the normal way it works.



Now put an EZ on her and you will feel responsiveness.

It has done it 2 times that I know of since they unplugged the ECM and the connector to the instrument cluster. Since I have had the truck(12000+)its probably flashed 8-9 times. I think the 1-2 times it chimed 1 ding but now it will just flash. I guess now I just wait till they come out with there new flash for the ECM in April or March.
