I have had my check gague light come on twice now. I look at all the gagues in the dash and see nothing wrong. It will stay on for a couple of cycleing of the keys. I took it to the dealer and they didnt find any codes that would pertain to it. It runs fine with no issues. Anyone have any ideas?

Do you mean a check engine light?

If so, a dealer scan tool should be able to read a code or you can cycle the ignition key on and off three times and read the code in the odometer.

I think you have to read the code while the cel is set. It will clear itself after a few start cycles.

No in my gauge cluster there is s come on twice now. Nothing has been a spot that says check gauges it has been wrong that I can see. The first time I took it to the dealer and they found nothing the second time I didnt do anything and it went out after a couple of cycles of the key. It is not a check engine light. It is red its unusal to me for this to come on. I havent seen anyone talk about it before.

Sorry, I don't know what you are talking about. You're going to have to provide a clearer description of your concern to get useful advice.

The "check gauges" light comes on when one of the dash gauges goes out of the normal range so it would indicate an oil press, temp, or voltage problem. If the gauges are still reading normal, you may have a problem with the instrument cluster.

I know this may sound stupid, but how low do you let the fuel in the tank get? The reason I ask is the check gage light will come on when the fuel is below a set level in your tank. Just another item to consider.

Long time update. as Originally posted I was having trouble with my check gauge light coming on intermintently and going out as fast as it came on. As stated before the gauges checked out all normal when this happened. The first time I took it to the dealer the light was off after it came on and they couldn't find anything. So finally after driving it for another 4 months with it still doing it as it felt like it the light finally stayed on and would not go out. But again all the gauges it monitors were normal (Amp, Temp, Oil pressure) So this time when I took it back, the dealer dug a little deeper and the tech found in the alternator part of one of the circuits internally it was only reading 9 volts but it was putting out 14 volts at the batt. So they replaced the alternator and it has been fine since. This is what they told me So if any one else has something like this keep this in mind.
