I installed a Westech guage from Genos and the pressures were as follows

idle was 5. 5

cruise @ 2,000 rpm 4. 0

WOT was 2. 5

I guess this is to low and lift pump is going? I am going to the dealer about replacing windshield what should I say if it is to low? Is there a minimum? Thanks for your help.

I believe 8psi is the minimum spec from Cummins. My dealer thinks as long as there is positive pressure it doesnt need to be replaced.

Do a search and You'll find lots of information.

I kinda figured that. I remember seeing 8 lb. on the forum. I just went on a 1200 mile trip and was worried because the stuff was back order form Geno's I have 40,000 on it now. Thanks for your help. Will be at dealer in morning.

Called Herbbie Dodge today and told them the pressures. So I am taking it in Tuesday for a lift pump replacement. Glad I put the gauge in from Geno's

I'm at 16psi at idle and 12 psi wot , it's been that way since new only have 10,000 miles on LP.

your old one is not totally dead... . save it in the box for an emergency spare... sometimes they go to zero pressure when they go... better to have a low pressure than no pressure in a emergency situation. . out in the boonies or something like that

If you are within the 5/100000, they might replace, they have changed from a psi spec to a flow spec. If dealer replaces under warranty you won't get the old one.

I took it to the dealer today and he said it was fine my guage was reading wrong. I have to call Geno's in the morning. They didn't tell me the pressure  . I may have someone else check it.

Filter Minder failed

I took my truck to the Dodge dealer today and he changed the filter. I looked at it and it looked dirty but the minder just started to move. I hate to admit it but I had 39k on it and 3 filters sitting in my garage. The truck definately feels a lot faster. I have heavy equipment and they work good but are Donaldson filter systems. I dumped a ton of tools out of it last week and that helped too. Now it is really flying. It did feel like a slug lately but didn't know if it was me. I think my mileage is increased a good bit too. What a jerk I was. So much for the minder new filters at 15,000 now. I know there was a TSB if you know where I'd like to read it.
