Check out Carparts.com for IAT sensor

I was just fishing around and came upon the Intake Air Temperature sensor on Carparts.com. The part number is TX49, and cost through them is $16. 37 (plus shipping of course). My opinion is "one less reason to visit my local 5-screw dealer", think I'll order one.

I would check this out a little further. Looking at the carparts.com site, I see two sensors listed. You mention Part #TX49 which is called an "Ambient air temp sensor". I believe that this may be the sensor for your overhead temp display. There is another sensor called "Air charge temp sensor" I believe this is more likely to be the unit you are after.
