You think our trucks have steering problems now, put those on and it will never drive straight again.
I have seen two trucks up here in AK that had them. The first was a Hummer H1 that was used in the oilfield to do crew change at a remote location, it did fine. The second was a ford f350 crew cab long bed that was used by the same company to haul food/garbage to and from the same remote location. More than once I saw the ford on the back of a flat bed with the front tracks not lined up properly. The mechanic that fixxed it said they where replaceing the entier front end on the ford every time as the stress was just too much.
In defense of this, I know the type of guys that the company that had the trucks hired. They are the kind of guys that break everyhing they touch. Very hard on equipment.
The next winter that company got rid of both of the trucks and went to using Tucker Snow Cats. They could haul more and where built to travel on snow.
