Just a quick note to those that might be in the market for a new, aftermarket style of hood. I recently bought a steel Reflexxion brand, cowl induction hood for my truck. I did not know that they had come out with a new design of this cowl induction hood, that has just been released, referred to as "2nd design". Somehow, I got lucky and received the newer hood, but I wanted to make others were aware of the potential problem.

I ordered my hood about a month ago from Stylin Concepts on the 10th of March. They were very good to work with and freight shipped it right out, the next week it arrived at the body shop were I am having my truck re-painted. Only problem was it had been damaged in route so I refused delivery and made arrangements for another delivery. The hood looked very nice and the body shop guy's were all excited about working with it, just it had a big (15"x12") dent in the lower front area. This particular hood was what I had ordered, a cowl induction first design. After the second one was on it's way I found out they had released the second design, on this one the raised center curves in at the front and not just straight down like the first design. I was kicking myself in the rear for not knowing about this new design, I have at least 20-25 subscriptions that deliver truck magazines from every source each month, and couldn't believe I didn't notice this. Well the truck hood arrived last week and this time it was in perfect condition, so we kept it. Low and behold it was the second design I thought I missed! I couldn't believe it, what luck? Any how, I was very pleased that Stylin Concepts took it upon their selves to send me the newer version, thank you SC. I just wanted other to be aware that there are two types of the hoods. Also I am sure that with the introduction of the newer hood, many of the older hoods will surface on outlet sites and on E-bay for good prices. Just be aware of what you are purchasing, nothing wrong with the older style, and many may still prefer it. I myself liked the look of the new style, also liked that it will be fresh and something new. Which ever one it is that you prefer, just make sure you specify that when you order. Good Luck.

Gees you guy's are a tough crowd. I'll have of pics just as sonn as the body shop is finished. I do regret not taking a picture of the hood when it arrived.
