checkin codes on a 98 durango

how do u check codes on a 98 durango, can u do it buy the key process like the diesels? thanks

Not sure if the durango's are the same, but '98 was the only year you could NOT get the codes by doing the key on/off deal. Only way to check them was w/ a code reader.

What He said. I have a '98 Durango too. It dosen't work on mine either. I just thought it was a OBDII thing. Are you having troubles?
