Where and how? I might be buying a truck next weekend and driving it home from Texas to Michigan. Don't want a dead VP44 on the way back :(

What year truck are you planing on buying, 12 Valve or 24 Valve the 97- 99 fuel filter canister has test ports on top 2 -7/16" brass plugs with 1/8 NP threads for pre & post filter presures, and the 2000 have a differnt canister and can be checked at the VP44 scharder valve.

2001 or 2002.

That would be checked at the scharder valve on the VP 44. Tom, at Black Mountian Diesel in Kentucky sells a complete gauge, hose & fitting kit for 35 bucks or so. You could also check at Geno's Gararage in th links here

Or if some one knows the size of scharder fitting I dont, I suppose you could make your own with A/C connector fittings a 0-15 psi mechenical gauge and grease gun hose.
