My brother uses a 1999 Dodge 3500 with a tool body on the back at work. I told him about changing to the larger diameter chevrolet wheel cylinders (NAPA 4637337) in the rear for improved braking. He didn't have the load sensor so that wasn't an issue. He did the swap and said he already had 3" wide shoes on there. He reported much improved braking from the truck and also said that the brake line threads in the wheel cylinders were at an angle compared to the dodge ones. He reported that the had a hell of a time lining them up with the leafspring axle blocks being so close behind the brake backing plate. Suggested shoving the lines through spinning the cylinders on then bolting them down.
Thanks everyone for the previous posts, that led to this easy/cheap upgrade.
