Conversion: Will transfer case fit?

Transmission question...Little help please?

I found a good 80's model crew cab chevy donor truck that i'm thinking about purchasing for a conv. Before i jump into this i was wondering what the best route to be is as far as trans(getrag,nv4500,5600) t-case etc... I know the old 1st gen 205 drops down on the correct side for the driveshaft but didnt know if i could adapt one to a 4500,5600,or 47rh. The truck is an auto. but i have other old chevys for clutch pedals and other parts. Any info is appreciated. thanks,

Lance

A NP205 from a Getrag 5 speed will bolt to the Dodge NV4500. I am not sure about the autos or the NV5600. I used a Chevy tail housing and output shaft in a HD Dodge NV4500 and the NP208 from a 400 turbo bolted to it. Another member on this forum had spline failures with the GM output and a NP205.

I have the mounts to do the job the nv4500 will fit a 205 t-case so will the 5600 , i have pics avalible

figured a man. would fit the application better. 38's would probably be pretty rough on an auto. Havent decided yet if i want to get rid of my truck yet anyhow to get the chevy. Dont know which one would be sweeter.

Has anyone ever installed a sm465 chevy four speed? I was told it would bolt up. It would probably be geared as low as using a 727 though.
