Local Big O owner/friend has some American Racing Nitro 16x8 wheels off of his 99 Chevy 1500 Suburban.

We did a check to see if the lug pattern and spacing is correct, it is, the other thing is, will these wheels fit over the axle hubs on my 99 2500?

That's the only thing from keeping me from getting them.

You might check the stud size. I think (and it's been awhile) that Chevy uses 1/2" studs and Ford and Dodge use 9/16". If the wheels are hub centric, then the stud holes are probably just big enough for the studs. If the wheels are lug centric, then the holes may be big enough and you would just need different size lug nuts.

I don't know if any of this is true, I just know that Chevy once used a smaller size lug nut than the others.

chevy lugs have been 14mmx1. 5 for the last 15 years [ever since the new body came out in 88] and 14mm is 0. 5512" and 9/16" is 0. 5625" giving the difference of 0. 0113" the wheels will fit if they share the same 8x6. 5" bolt pattern. but you say it came off a 1500 suburban? the chevy 1500's have a 6x5. 5 bolt pattern [88-98 1500 4x4 only, 99-04 1500 2x4 & 4x4]. if it is 8 lug, it's a 2/3500... backspacing on the wheels will be somewhere alongs 4-5" and the hub should fit. the aftermarket companies don't like doing hubcentric wheels because that requires them to stock 2 sets of wheels to fit different hubs [it's already bad enough with dorf's 8x170mm pattern] so the hub's on the nitro's will probably be nicely oversized making them lug centric wheels. now, you may run into problems with the wheels fitting over the brakes. best bet, jack the truck up on one side, and test fit them on the front and rear to see how the fit is [and how the backspacing is]

my stock 98 dodge wheels fit right onto my 96 2500 suburban, but i seem to recall that the suburbans wheels did not fit the dodge. Best to just try it out. Good luck.
