does anybody out there use a child seat in their quad cab(rear seats)? can you install the seat backwards for infants in any of the three positions or does in have to go in the middle. or do i need to get a 2003 four door. Ha Ha i hope so!

thanks in advance

CHILD SEAT (TWINS)

YES YOU CAN USE JUST ABOUT ANY CHILD SEAT !!

I HAVE A 2002 2500, THAT I RIDE MY TWO SPECIAL 18 MONTH OLD BUDDIES AROUND WITH ME. THEY LOVE IT BECAUSE THEY CAN SEE OUT THE BACK WINDOW. YOU MY HAVE TO GET WINDOW SHADE TO KEEP THE SUN LIGHT OUT OF THE FACE OF YOUR LITTLE ONE!

Having had 3 Ram pickups going back to 94 with my first, we have had numerous child seats in all of them without any trouble at all. Forward or Rear facing has never posed any trouble. You should put the child seat behind either the passenger or drivers seat though, not in the middle. You can also put it in the passenger seat, just be sure to disable the passenger air bag if so equipped.

Not the answers you were looking for, I know:rolleyes: - but you can always tell your wife you need the '03 for the ease of installation :D .

I have a 2 1/2 year old and have had him in the back of my 98 QC from facing back wards (birth) to forward (now). No problems with the car seats we have used. The best protection is to place your little one in the center. Also, when you tighten the seat belt prior to putting your little one in, lean against the seat with some extra weight and pull the belt tight. This will help take away that extra slack that can toss them around in a lose seat.

Today, My whole family took a ride ( complete with 5 week old and mom) for the first time since his arrival and I think mom found it a little tight in the front seat. I am hoping this will ahhh head us in the right direction for a new rig. One caveat... She says it has to be a full size crew cab. ::sigh:: I guess I'll have to wait till Dodge decides to build one. At least I have the green light when they do. Now, if I can get the AC working in H*ll ! ;)
