Portable Alarms or Security Equipment???

Stella Awards

When you were growing up, who did you look up too. Was it a family member, sports star, actor, actress, etc.

Just makes ya think of who the children of today have to look up too. Not a pretty picture.

DAD

My Dad was the coolest, he could fix anything. He could machine a six sided cube with a metal lathe. One time he made a fake leg for our three legged dog. (I think he liked it better than the dog. ) In '69 or '70 he received the "coveted" Golden Hammer Award from Mechanix Illustrated (not for the dog leg). He could even weld paper to glass, well--almost, he said he could never get a good ground:p. A true Hero in every sense of the word. If my kids love me half as much as I loved him, only then will I have succeeded. Sure miss him.

My brother. He's only 3 years older than me, but I followed him everywhere. Plus he was tall at a young age. He still helps me fix my broken stuff.

My early childhood hero was Richard Petty - wrote a book about him in 3rd grade that won me an award (which I later ripped up because I was ****** at my mom, am still ****** at myself for doing so). Later when I discovered motorcycles it was Eddie Lawson.

Believe it or not: Jacques Cousteau... . When I was a kid I wanted to be a marine biologist, scuba dive and look for sunken treasure and all that. Didn't realize what a liberal earthlover kook he was until later on...

I did get my SCUBA cert. and did a fair amount of diving in my teens, but then later hawked all my gear to help pay for college. Haven't dove since... ...

Cousteau

Amazing coincidence Cousteau was my idol and I wanted to be a marine biologist until I realized I wasn't smart enough so I went into law- what he has done for research and awareness of the fragility of the marine ecosystem makes him one of the centuries greatest figures- while he is gone I hope his son can continue his dreams. What sucks is his headquarters used to be in Norfolk VA near my office and he would dock his ship here but PETA took over his building!!!!!:(
