Brake bleeding & fluid

I just bought a 2005 2500 Dodge/Cummins (I'm absolutely new to diesel) and some of friends who own one also, have a difference of opinions on whether or not to put in a performance chip (correct term??). One says right away and the other says wait until I have about 10 K miles on it. Any experts on this?? By the way, I live in Calif. where they will not allow them installed on new trucks.

Thanks for any info. Mike

I guess it depends on you. If your ok with losing your warranty then do it, if your not then wait, What I can tell you for sure is when you do put one on you won't be disapointed. By the way welcome to the TDR, you will learn more than you ever imagined you would

Mike, Welcome to the TDR!! Best money you'll ever invest in your truck! Now about your question. All the information you could ask for is on this site. Almost everything than can be done to a Cummins diesel, has been done and talked about on here somewhere. Learn to use the search forums function (here ) first and read, and read, and read. You can then make a very educated decision on what and what not to do with your new CTD. There is also a list of abbreviations (here ). Good luck and have fun. DJ
