If you had a choice would you buy a DSS from PSC Motorsports or Windecker Machine(SolidSteel)? They look identical. Also I can get an A1 Cardone steering gear for $200 and a 3 year warranty. I think it is a 4 1/4 turn gearbox. It seems that most like the 3 1/4 turn gearbox from what I have been reading. If I get a DSS and put on the A1 gearbox do you think that will be ok? I don't off road just street driving.

Thanks for your time!

Paul

I wouldn't be surprised if the DSS from PSC isnt built by Windecker. I think they have a couple distributors. I bought mine directly from Windecker just because they're close to where I live, I'm very happy with it. It tightened the whole front end up.

I bought the PSC 3 turn steering gear, their DSS, the SS 3rd gen adj Track Bar, and the SS 3rd gen TB bracket all from PSC and the guy from SS responded to my post and said the DSS from PSC was ok.

I would higly recommend the 3 turn box. I can steer now with one finger. Don't go with a 4 turn. Some have bought a cheaper 3 turn from PSS power steering services I believe in Indiana.

I love the 3 turn PSC box. Get the other SS stuff somewhere else but get the light valving 3 turn box and you will love driving the truck again. I've had mine over 1 year now.
