Race Horse has muscle cramp problem.

I was just reading about this, man this sucks! :(

We saw him here a few summers back, he's the only guy I've seen that could sing a fast country song while riding a mech'l bull on full speed and all the while getting 100's of cans of copenhagen thrown at him.

Got his cd in the player right now. Think I'll be listening to it a little more now, the man could sing.

We were fortunate enough to see Chris perform twice and they were the best shows I've ever seen. You know, he didn't just sing about rodeo's and the western way of life, he actually lived it.

The man was great at everything he did, he will be missed.

I dread having to tell my nine year old son about this. :(

He was truly one of a kind. I was really hoping to go see him live once he recovered. Every time I ride broncs, I listen to him to get me in the zone. It's sad thinking there'll never be any more of his great songs.

I have been a huge Chris Ledoux fan for years. I saw him in concert with my younger brother a few years ago in Spearfish. One of the best concerts I have ever been to.

I first caught on listening to Chris LeDoux back in the early spring of 1996, when I got my driver's license, and began hauling to Rodeos while in High School. Soon After, I purchased his box set, "American Cowboy"- A Must for Any Chris LeDoux Fan. I have been fortunate to shake his hand, see him 5 or 6 times, and enjoyed every one of his songs. It really saddens me to hear of this, as I did not find out till about 3:45 this afternoon, by my former room mate. He called and told me that he did not mean to wreck my day, but LeDoux had gotten called up by the Lord. I Did not believe it at first, just as Dale Earnhardt's passing, so once I got home, I logged onto here, and looked it up, and sure enough- Sad, Sad news. The world has lost a singer, World Champion Bronc Rider, father, husband, and whatever else I am not mentioning. I know he is not suffering anymore, and is probably sharing his bronc riding skills with Noel, and I am sure Noel in turn is working on BOMB'ing his mechanical bucking bronc machine. Just something to smile about.

God Bless you, Chris LeDoux. Thanks for the fond memories!

-Chris-

It shocked me when I heard today. I had to quit what I was doing and stop for a few minutes. Like C. Harlen said, at least he isn't having to go through the pain anymore. Like Chris said in Texas Tornado, "There's a hell of a cowboy in heaven, at that big rodeo in the sky. "

:--) WOW I'm just now hearing :{ . Dont really know what to say he was a great man above everything else! Now, I must go and tell MY "copenhagen angel" this sad news. God bless his family!

Very sad day

Got lucky enuff to see him once here in town, snuck my kid brother in the show(under age). Great time, always wanted to see him again. Wish his family the best. Too bad this might go unnoticed to parts of the country. For those that know he will be missed.

I took my wife to one of his concerts at Billy Bob's. I've been listening to Chris since I was a little kid and have most of his albums - including stuff that was published on his own label in the 70's. Growing up in the areas that he songs were written about always had him as my favorite singer/entertainer.

If you haven't listened to his older music, you should check it out. I always hoped I'd run into him in Kaycee on one of my trips back. Godspeed Chris, you'll be missed. It's very hard to find something genuine in today's world, he was that if anything. :(

Man this really sucks. Kinda ruined my day yesterday. Have been a big fan for a long time. Sounds like he went down pretty fast. Doesn't seem like the kinda guy who would die in a hospital. He was a true original.

I like his early stuff the best. Early meaning, early 90s when he signed with capital. I have every CD that I can find and love em all. Does anyone know where to get copies of the old stuff that he recorded himself? I have heard some of his old tapes but don't know where to buy any of them.

What a way to end the day yesterday. After having to put up w/ a bunch of bull**** at work then come home to this. Chris will be missed

RIP
