Christmas Party

Should I assume by the lack of postings there will be no Christmas party this year for Colorado?

As much as I regret to say this, I think that the performance Diesel Truck excitement has had it's day, and is now over.

No more are the 4 or 5 dyno days a year, seasonal gettogethers, and garage days.

The honeymoon is over, and our trucks are too expensive to feed or tweak.

Well maybe if you moved it to say sunny warm Arizona it would help

We've had Dyno days in a snow storm that piled 8" by the middle of the day, and garage/wrench days in the same conditions. Still had a huge turnout for both.



We're in Colorado, it's expected, and that's why 99. 5 percent of us own 4wd versions. Hell, I think even MLockner finally got a 4wd.

You are right Sticks, I did get a 4wd. That 2wd hopped up has no traction. Maybe you guys should tag onto the all diesels club Shay Black has put together. There is still interest in getting together and things. I think most of us are a little more mature than we used to be and I know I am really busy these days. My work is everyday with starting up a new production line. Lot of 13 hour days during the week and 1/2 days on the weekends. Hay to all and have a good Holiday.

Kind of what Mlockner said about maturity - no longer feel the need to show everyone the new toys we bolted on to our trucks (not that he was a spring chicken when we were doing exactly that )



Time - myself like Mlockner have been working to the point of insanity. I broached the 2500 hour mark again this year and am flat worn out. If I am not working, I am trying to recuperate. For me to get dressed and leave the house on my time, it's gotta be pretty darn important.



Working on trucks, it's what I have been doing for a living since 2005. I hate doing it if I am not getting paid, especially in the nasty weather. I've still got some minor fixes to do to my truck, let alone upgrading the steering so I can get an alignment. Started that one last spring, did not have enough time, maybe next winter. I only drive it about 1500 miles a year.



I miss the get togethers, but it's just not the same anymore.

I don't know about all the maturity talk. I'm having a hard time believing that anyone in this group is suffering from too much maturity. :-laf
