Does anyone know if the chrome exhaust tip offered by Geno's Garage will fit over the Jardine 4 inch exhaust? Thanks.

If the pipe is 4" and the tip is the same, it should be no problem. My jardine 3. 5" hopefully will arrive tommorrow #ad
. I will be in the same boat with smoke direction control. These pipe sizes don't vary much, so have fun but ask them before you order #ad

A tip:

If you live in the Salt/Rust belt.

Don't go nuts welding the tip to the exhaust pipe. My 5" Monster Tip from Geno's is on its 3rd winter. Its shot. All rusty. It was fine this fall. It will need to come off and be replaced with a new one this spring. A rusty exhaust tip LOOKS LIKE CRAP. I ground down any high spots inside the tip so I got a slip fit. Not a tight fit. I drilled the tip flange and exhaust pipe with a 3/32" bit & secured it with 2 SS sheet metal screws. Replacement will be a breeze. I'd be grinding 'till the cows come home' if I had welded it on.
I live in the salt belt. Thats most of the problem. Its not the quality of the tip. Geno's products are top quality. All the chrome stuff I have outside the truck does not last with the salt. Maybe 2 or 3 winters. I have found putting a light coat of grease on my chrome front diff cover does a really good job of protecting it from rusting. #ad

Geno's has a polished 4" stainless steel exhaust tip for $35.

I placed the order yesterday but I included a note about it being for the Jardine system. They sent an email today saying that I will have to measure it since they aren't sure if it will fit. So that's what I'll have to do. I just thought someone here may have beat me to it and would know if it would work. I figured with all the combos out there someone would have the Jardine with the tip. Thanks fellers.

If you go with one of the stainless steel tips that should eliminate corrosion problems.

Benson,
I have Geno's monster tip on my Jardine 4". I had to clean up the "high spots" to slide it on. After reading HEMI®Dart's previous post on this subject a while back, I wish I had kept it a bit looser and maybe put antisieze on it. The salt does cause rust spots as it will on any chrome if left on.

Make sure you can back up that big tip with some engine mods. It is a warning to would be challengers you know!

Thanks QRTRHRS, that's what I was hoping for. I measured today and it looks like the 4 inch tip will just fit over it. The Jardine pipe seems be be 4 inch outside diameter while the tip is supposed to be 4 inch ID.

on to different exhaust systems that I have used, I took a 5" chrome stack from a truck and welded it to a 4"-5" adapter cut off excess and put it on. On the first I welded it to the exaust and the sand and gravel roads took their tol. On the second I slid the adaptor over the exaust and clamped it so I can change out the tip later. The 5" tip looks very tough on the CTD. I opted not to use a turndown as on the farm I need the clearence.

No the just the tips don't, but if you figure out the volume of there exhaust vrs the tip size they use, then caculate the same for your truck, lets see now, That would mean if you mounted a 5 gallon bucket on the end of "your" pipe, then you would have about the same displacment per CC of exhaust air to match there performance gain.
I can see it now, a Dodge with a 18" exhaust pipe!

Plus maybe they will see it, and understand how dumb "there" exhaust looks!
