I'm looking at getting a warranty for my 2019 2500 Tradesman with 28000 miles on it. When I go to their website I see 3 different options. Max Care and Added Care (Powertrain Care isn't available for diesels) and they give you a description of what's covered but I'd like to hear from you and your experiences and what you feel is the best package and why.

I generally put about 10,000 miles a year on my truck.

Looking at 8 years, 125000 miles, $100 deductible and here's the price for each one:
Max Care $4290
Added Care $3430

5 years 125000 miles $100 deductible and here's the price for each one:
Max Care $3170
Added Care $2745

I had a Max Care on my truck that transferred from my FIL. If you can swing the extra $1000, go with the 8 yr option. You'll want the time coverage as you wont exceed the mileage. You should search other threads and shop at some of the dealers that are mentioned on them. that could save you the $1000 difference in the length of contract. I'm sure others will chime in. 8 yr contact has my vote either way.

Those prices are pretty close to what I was quoted. Go with the 8 year plan.

I would also consider a $200 deductible. The plan was $810 cheaper, meaning I would have to use the warranty 9 times for the $100 deductible plan to save me money. I have a little more confidence in Ram than that.

You could probably also drop to a 100K mile plan if you really only do 10K per year.

Unless you're going to put on more miles per year than you've averaged so far, the 8 year/85k mile plan may be your best option. I recently bought that on my 2023. Price is similar to what you've listed. I could be wrong, but if I recall, the 'years' begin when the truck was put into service, not when you purchase the plan. Better confirm on that.

I bought the 8y/125k when new.. may never use it / may change my driving habits / usage so I went all in. I did go for the 200 ded. as it lowers the price as has been said and if I really need it, 200 will be a drop in the bucket. JM2C
