I think my thermostat has gone to crap... can't hardly build heat, and if it does get to 190* it drops back and runs 170 or so almost instantly. My reservoir goes from about 1/4 full when cold in the morning to almost all the way full once up to operating temp.

Local dealer wants $38. 90+tax for thermostat part # 5015708AC. Is it worth it? Should I just call Napa and get one from them? Maybe call the closest Cummins shop (2 hours from me) and order one through them?

Anybody run a NAPA thermo in their pickup?

ok, payed the piper his $35 (York Dodge, Prescott AZ) and fixed my own problem. Napa wasn't going to have one in till mid-next week and they wanted $30+tax, so said screw it and got the Cummins one. So far, so good. Instantly went to 190*F once I got on the road and then opened up just like the old one used to. Old one doesn't have any broken springs, but I guess 93k will do that.

Yeah, closest Cummins shop is 2 hour drive. :( If I weren't in AZ I would have payed less than $20 for it and no sales tax. No biggie... pickup is running right again, and that's what matters. Maybe my fuel mileage will pick back up now too.
