I have a question about the CIPA (Lucerix) mirrors that some members are using. I was thinking about putting a set on my Ram, but I had read on a RV forum that some people didn't think that the passenger mirror extended out far enough to see down the right side of the trailer. I'm using the slip-on extensions for the factory mirrors now, and they seem to be OK. I was wondering if someone that has these mirrors could extend them fully and measure to the outside of the mirror(from the window glass) so I would have a dimension to gauge it to in relationship to the slip on mirrors. Thanks in advance,

While you're out there measuring, could you also measure the distance (at a 90 degree angle) from the door window to the outer edge of the mirror assembly with the mirrors NOT extended? In other words, I'm wondering how much wider they make the truck when in the non-towing position.

Full in measures 13". Fully extended measures 17". That is measured from the mirror outside edge straight in to window, not along mirror bracket. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the quick response Marshall, that is the information I'm looking for. The slip-on ones extend to approximately 15", so these should work good. How do you like your Sunnybrook? I'm awaiting delivery on a 27' Sunnybrook TT. Does your visibility seem adequate with your mirrors? Thanks again:)

John,

We have had the SunnyBrook for 4 years now and have not had one single problem. Great quality and workmanship for the price. The mirrors work out ok but I have to pivot them in just a little from the detent spot to be able to see good. This is not much of a problem as they stay where you put them, but you do loose some outward distance when you angle them in. I think the manufacturer could have angled the mirror head in just a little more on the bracket so the mirrors would be more perpendicular to the truck, like the F--d mirrors. They are much better than the slip-on's that I had been using
