I an considering CIPA power mirrors or West Coast style (used on semi trucks mostly) on my '97 3500. Have seen some west coast mirrors on Dodge dually trucks. I know that Geno's carries the CIPA mirrors. Who carries the West Coast mounting brackets for these trucks? I want to put on the heated and motorized 7"x16" mirror heads with 6" round spot mirrors. Would prefer s. s. over chrome so they will keep from rusting longer.

Thanks in advance for any help.

I have the CIPA on my truck they are great however I sometimes wish I had gone with a Westcoast Mirror when towing my 44' GN. The CIPA's really do not extend far enough for my trailer length to see what is right behind the trailer then again "if you can't see my mirrors I can't see you"... . As far as where to get them go to any "truck shop" and you can "piece" together the required parts out of stainless or chrome.

I don't really like the way the newer 2nd gen. mirrors look so I never priced them new or tried to find used ones (assuming you are not talking about the chrome fold out mirrors). I would also like to add spot mirrors. Although I haven't really looked at them to see how they are made, I'm not sure I could them on there for sure. My current factory power mirrors have tiny stick-on spots that were put on before I bought the truck and have never liked them because they are pretty much worthless. Haven't wanted to put on bigger stick on spots so that it wouldn't block too much of the rest of the mirror.

I have looked at piecing a set of west coast mirrors together but was hoping to find set made for these trucks. Would be alot cheaper than the truckstops around here. www.northerntool.com has sets for the Ford and Chevy/GMC trucks($190-230), but not for the Dodge trucks unless they have added them recently and over looked them. I'm kinda leaning towards the CIPA way to keep from drilling too many holes that could rust or leak like my '86 Ford does(factory mirrors).

This place also has a good price

Check out this site for CIPA mirrors:www.acmetruckparts.com. Type Mirrors in the key word search, or type 73027 502 in the part number search box. I happened to be searching their site, and found the mirrors.
