I had to replace the switch for my power mirrors. It used to only work in the up or down direction. Got one from a junk yard (first mistake). It worked good for a few times, now it wont do anything. Is there a fuse somewhere not marked or do the mirrors share their power source with something else in the door panel?

Thanks in advance for the help.

Chris

It's been a while but if I'm not mistaken the mirrors and doorlocks all share the circuit breaker for the power seat. Easy enough to pull it and see if I'm right.

Hmmm,

My door locks are on a 20a fuse in the fuse panel, and if I use the passenger side door lock switch, the fuse blows. Mirrors haven't worked for quite a while, I guess I'll have to get the ol' meter out and check things out, then go buy another switch.

Sniff..... Sniff... ... Is that electrical smoke I smell?:D

On my '97 it's the Ignition Off Draw (IOD) fuse in the #17 fuse cavity. I pinched wires installing my CIPA mirrors and had quite a time finding the fuse. My DC manual was a little helpful. There was a yellow plastic gizmo over the fuse that I ripped out with a pair of pliers. As I recall, my radio was also inop.
