Anyone running these that can comment on EGT's while pulling #8500 or so? Looking for insight from someone running the Jammer II's, Auto trans, 3. 5 gears, and of course oversize (295s) tires... .

I tried the DD II's a couple of years ago but was fighting EGTs on long winding hills & short of a gear swap or smaller tires I don't want to go back there. Currently running 275s & a EZ with no problems (EGTs) but always searching for more power.

Thanks,

Clay

I don't think there are any ~80HP injectors that will run cool enough to tow 8500LBS with an EZ on a stock 9CM turbo especially with oversized tires!!!

You are turning 1600RPM at 65MPH which is a bit too low for towing that kind of weight.

Maybe you can run the injectors for towing WITHOUT the EZ, I turn off my banks box to tow and it is a dream with DDII's.

Actually the 99 autos came with a 12cm housing! But yep, your right about the tires..... I spoke to someone at City Diesel & he said he had customers that said the Jammer IIs run cooler or at least as cool as Bosch 275s. Hoping to get some confirmation of that from other TDR members.

I've got City Jammer II's, a 3. 54 rear, and 35" tires pulling 10k#. Only difference is a 6 speed handshaker.

EGTs stay in check - 1250 max up the steepest hills as long as I keep the RPMs up. Only difference I noticed from stock injectors was the need to downshift just a little sooner than before. Otherwise I'm very happy and keep it safe.
