Does anyone here have any experience with the city diesel "twist" turbo? They say its capable of handling between 500-550 hp which is just where i would like to get eventually. What do you guys think about it? Likes? Dislikes? thanks in advance

I ran one last year, just replaced it with twins about a month ago. I can't say there was anything I disliked about it. It spooled pretty quick for a turbo its size. I was racing at about the 460hp level most of last year, and it would keep the temps down to about 1400*. At 510hp, it would hit 1600*. I have no doubt it would make 500-550hp, but temps would get to hot for towing at that level. Like most of the large performance turbos it will bark fairly easily, but it is durable enough to handle it. Or at least so I was told, and it did hold true. Rip at Source Automotive has sold a few, give him a call at: 866 211-1533.

how do you like your twins then?

Oo. Oo. :D

Not a bad thing to say about them at all! Spool is better, made 55hp more on the dyno (same amount of fuel), EGT's are down over 200*, and they have a very cool sound! I have not had the truck to the track yet, but I hope to in the next couple of weeks.

Not sure on that... Didn't ask... Depends on what you are going to do with your truck as to what would be a good set. And to be honest I don't know that much about 3rd gens... Maybe someone else will chime in.
