Has anyone done business with city diesel? I was looking at a few things and the price seems to low. For one a Dodgezilla HX-35W Hybrid from them is 715. 00 and a PDR HX35 is 990. 00? What gives? Then a friend was looking at injectors and they seem way lower than other places. What do you all think about this?

the list price on a brand new PDR HX35 witout housing is $650. 00

then add whichever housing. A nonwastegated 14 is on 175. 00 list price and a wastegated 12 is prolly 50. 00

Price

The Dodgezilla HX-35W Hybrid comes with a 14 housing for that price but is it a non waste gated 14 for 715. 00? Can I get a cheaper price on a PDR HX35 14 housing from someone else? PDR told me it would cost me $990. 00 for a PDR HX35 with a 14 waste-gated housing. Has anyone run one of these Dodgezilla HX-35W Hybrid? What are they like?

Thanks for the interest. We have been in business for over 20 years currently with 7 stores. Please note on the Dodgezilla the compressor side is the largest housing and wheel available for the HX40. Think of it as a HX40 with a HX35 exhaust housing. Hope this helps

A PDR HX35 with a 14 non-wastegated housing, similar to what you are referring to from City Diesel, will set you back $825. I do not know if the City Diesel turbos are new or rebuilt, but the PDR HX35's from what I understand are brand new turbos, not rebuilt. Without the housing, the City Diesel turbo sells for $635. Just some food for thought.

I would be interested to hear how the City Diesel 35 compares to a stock 35 (each having the same size housing) as far as EGT's and spool up.

I would also like to know how they stack up to a stock HX35. I want to know how they are compared to PDR'S HX35 14 as spool time and egt's. Do they do any magic to theirs? Or should I say what is difference from a HX35 14 from PDR and a HX35 14 from City Diesel but both being waste-gated 14 housings?

Comparing the dodgezilla to the PDR's35 isn't a fair comparision. The PDR35 is made for stock to 350hp applications and the dodgezilla is made more for the 300-450hp apps. If you want the fast spool of a HX35 with the increase in boost and egt drop of a hx40 it is for you. It is a HX40 made to bolt up in place of a 35 no need to buy the downpipe. Hope this helps answer some of your questions.

Thanks

Tim. Where can I read up on more details of the dodgezilla turbo?

edit found the info, do you have dyno numbers to back up this claim?

Thanks

Bob,

on my weak truck it made 20 more hp(260vs280) and dropped egt's 150-200 degrees. I made the mistake of running with a 14 housing on my truck when a 12 would have produced better results. I found this out seat of the pants later on. At the same event(Nashville dyno event) the high horsepower truck(463) was running one.

Thanks

Tim
