Changing the cooling system fluids, hoses, thermostat, etc this weekend. Stick with the factory clamps ( what to they call that style anyways? ) or get basic 3" hose clamp from auto parts store.
The factory clamps are called constant tension hose clamps. I believe the type used on our trucks are the "flat" type as opposed to the "round" type. If you buy the special hose clamp tool make sure you get the correct one for the type of constant tension hose clamp. You can purchase them at Napa, the angled hose clamp tool works best for removing the lower radiator hose clamp.
