Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Clanking noise reverse to drive

When I shift my truck from reverse to drive it just started making a single clanking noise. Wanted to know if anybody new what that might be? What to check for? Thanks for any help or suggestions.

99 2500 quad 4x4

Sounds like a U-Joint to me. That was the noise my '97 made.
