Powerstrokes outnumber us?

Is anyone going?? I would like to go, but do not want to be the only one back there... It would be nice to get some LSTDR guys, as well as some HAPS people together like the last go round. Some of y'all chime in!! Is this going to be a partially DHRA sanctioned Event?? Would like more info!!

Chris my guess is this is San Antonio!

Curtis what is the deal on 16" tires you were talking about, Stockton Wheels 15x12, Street ET's 31/14. 5/15's and tubes is going to be in the $750 range:(

Chris that is your area, if you would find out some show times.

The original "big race" was canceled due to weather. I think they rescheduled it a week or two later in San Antonio but I don't think it had a big turnout.

San Antonio

I was at the rescheduled race and I've never seen such awesome racing. The 10. 5" tire class is just NUTZ! They were taking out the lights, kissing the gurard rails, gettin outta shape at half track. One car caught on fire:eek: Saw a new record set at 7. 17 @ 198 mph!

While the diesels got sort of an abbreviated viewing, non the less, it marked advancement for our hobby. And I took the open class win albeit with a poor effort. Still received $700 bucks

I will look into it Jim. .

HVAC, will you be towing that Red Rocket down here again?? It would be nice to see ya do another pass or 2...

There are several of those crazy 10. 5 cars that will be there to race that are chassis tuned by Mike Duffy (MDRC race cars) of Moore Oklahoma, a bud of mine, that thinks the Diesel stuff were doing is all good cause it's old schools stuff to him, he says... Racing Diesel Trucks. . that's cool, then talks about a round tube back half truck! Mike helped me on the locker/bars and has giving me tips to make the truck hook up better so well see what happens. Don't know what races I can make as there is allot of stuff still to do and time and money are slim.

The tires were Hoosier tires. 16" dia. They were close to $200 per tire They have several widths. Stockton quoted somewhere in the neighborhood of $200+ per wheel a 14" wide rear wheel with the 8X6. 5 lug pattern.

I guess there is a reason I still have my duals. ;)

sounds liek fun I had a good time last year eventhough there wasn't a lot of people so lets do it again

charlan strick-9 has posted some stuff over in the competitoin section also.

Hey guys I`m sorry we can`t promise the big payouts, but I think we all learned from last time,so if a bunch of us "DIESEL NUTS"show up (like 30 or more),I promise we`ll up the prizes and have more classes. Also, the whole complex has been remodeled for The Texas IHRA Nationals we just had this past weekend, and its AWESOME!! They also changed the name to SAN ANTONIO RACEWAY. The racers from all over the US said its one of the best tracks they ever raced and their ETs broke all IHRA records to prove it! I`m open for sugestions or comments ,just hopeing to keep a good thing going and give all of us a chance to grow this Diesel Drag Racing sport in front of thousands of racing fans. SEE YA`LL THERE!!,Scott Walker@Mobile Diesel Performance (210)846-4939

Could I get a quick run down with directions?

I am Wanting to make it to this event, allthough it seems like I have been comitteing to alot of eveents lately, and not making any of them. Hopefully I can go.

Thanks,

Merrick Cummings Jr
