Number 1 Topic. Fuel Prices. Who to voice are opions too?

Found out yesterday a kid in my class had a really nasty accident. Don't do this at home! He was working on a big diesel engine at is work. The engine was hanging in the air. He was sitting on a chair next to the engine. Some thing broke that was used to hang the engine. From what I've heard his knee was pushed pretty much down to his ankle. They rushed him to the cities. This is scary. The Doctors didn't even know where to start. He's got one more year left in college. He's also restoring an ol B model Mack. Really nice project for him. I'll find out more next week when school starts back up.

I just can't believe some one would work on such a heavy engine hanging with chains. Should have had that thing sitting on stands.

Hey Jeff, can you send me a link to the school you are attending? I am looking at extending my education in the diesel mechanic area. Very sorry to hear about your friends accident. Definitely hope the best for him. Keep us posted.

I go to StCloud technical college. Big college town. The class that I'm taking is Medium & heavy truck repair. Only trucks class. Some hydraulics & refrigeration. We cover diesel, powertrain, suspension, air brakes, hydraulic brakes. Plenty of electronics and eletrical covered. Plus a lot of other stuff.

Suspended loads will kill and maim. Sometimes it takes an incident for somebody to really get that point.

That kid is pretty much out of action for anything for at least a year.

Hopefully he'll be alright and have no amputations.
