I juat got off the phone with a guy at Southwest Wheel, who told me that the Classic style Alcoa will NOT fit my 2001 dually. He said the change in the brake and hub design in that model year prevents the earlier year wheels from fitting properly.

I don't understand it as I know that they make them to fit 2001 and up. He told me the only one that would fit is the new "Hot Shot" wheel, which I don't like. I don't have the rear disc brakes as I have an early 2001, So I don't think there is a problem, but I don't know for sure.

Can anyone shed some light on this for me??

Kev,

I've reviewed the fitment charts and you've just confirmed what I was afraid of! :(

Just got off the phone with Alcoa, and they told me that the "Classic" is NOT available for 2001 and up, and they currently have NO plans to develop one  :{ :{ ... .....

Oh well, I guess I either have to take out a second mortgage to afford some 19. 5's or search elswhere.

Unless I'm not reading the spec right, there are no Eagle Alloy wheels that have the proper backspacing (8. 130) for the 2001 and up trucks. In fact, the "Hot Shot" Alcoa is the only one I've seen with that backspacing. Most others are 7 9/16. Whether or not it will work, I don't know, but it looks like the options are VERY limited.

Those are pretty nice  , they are the same ones I saw today in a 19. 5"- the price I was quoted was near $5500:eek:  :--) !!!!!!!!!!

I DONi THINK SO!!!!! I calmy told the guy after the EMT revived me. Not sure what the price was in a 16"

Oddly enough, he told me that he could fit me in the Eagle Alloy's (Alcoa copy) series 58. I told him they didn't make the correct offset and he told me they did. So I'm confused, but I still think he's wrong.
