Classifieds moved to the forums - don't want to see them? click here

We've decided to move the classifieds into the forum software. It has been requested a number of times and we've finally caved in. If you do not wish to see the classifieds postings when you are doing searches including view new posts and view last days posts then click on the S inside of the circle to the left of the forums you don't wish to see - it will turn red and that forum will no longer show up in your searches.

Sarj, I think you missed something here. We've always had a classified ads section. The only difference is that we put them in their own forum here instead of in a seperate classified ad package. No ads will be appearing in the regular forum sections just like it's always been. If you go to the main forum list and click on the S in a circle to the left of the classified ads section you won't see any of the classified ads in any of your searches. You would have to physically click on the classified ads forum in order to see them just like you had to go to the classified ad part of the site as before. As a member you can also turn off google ads if you haven't already done so. The only ad you can't turn off as a member is the one banner ad at the very top of the page which has always been there. This was just a matter of moving where they were on the site and you do still have the option to not see them unless you specifically go looking for them. That was the whole point of this thread.

The classified ads are completely free btw and are offered here as a service for the membership. It was members that kept requesting us to move them to the forum software as they didn't like the separate classified package.

Steve, I know i'm getting a bit slower in my old age, but where are the classifieds? When I go to the section in the forums I find no for sale items.

It's pretty fresh so there isn't that much in there. You need to go to the category your looking for - so go to the classifieds, then the 3rd gen section for example, then what your looking for. If you look at the list of forums ( TDR Roundtable - Powered by vBulletin ) and look under "general diesel topics" the 4th forum down is the classifieds forum. Click on that and you'll see the different categories. Just click on the one you want to see.
