Anyone have an idea best way to clean out the whole exhaust system without taking it off?

I still have oil coming out the tailpipe from when I blew up the turbo. So now its still leaking with the "leftover" oil... ... and I have a feeling most of the exhaust side of my turbo is in the muffler.

So I might have to yank it off anyhow.

Its been and interesting few days... . with the truck and a few other things... ... ... ... ... ... ...

open it at the turbo end and seal off the exit at the tailpipe.

then fill it with water and either dishsoap, or something like simple green and let it soak a while.

you might flush it and fill again too.

sorry to hear the bad news

Do it like you're cleaning a gun, use an electrician's fish tape or other stiff wire, and draw a bunch of rags through it, with or without cleaner. Oviously, some or all of the system will have to be dropped out of the truck. Now might be a good time to think about stacks. :D

We're all glad for your sake that it wasn't worse.

Let's see 4" exhaust, bout the same as some small HVAC ducting... how 'bout giving your local duct cleaning company the strangest call they've ever had ;D..... or maybe a chimney sweep is a better choice with all that soot... ... .

Hey Kat, Come on back out to Colorado and I can fix you up with a heavy trailer and point you to a very big hill.

Terry;) :D :D
