Cleaning EGT probe...

It seems like my autometer egt gauge doesn't react like it used to. Has anybody taken the probe out and cleaned it?

I would not think cleaning it would make any difference.

Well, if it were carboned up enough to significantly change the thermal inertia of the probe, you'd notice a decrease in response time. There's certainly no harm in taking it out and cleaning it...
