I aquired a set of 275's with less than 30K on them and would like to clean them up a bit before I do the install. I have been using clean diesel and a toothbrush, but it's not moving the carbon deposits the way I would like. I got the copper washers off, which I am replacing. What would remove the carbon build-up, which isn't really that bad? Gun cleaner, brake cleaner?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Don't touch them. The pressure normally associated with injection keeps the holes free of deposits unless something comes down the line from the injector side. Normally, any kind of "cleaning" results in pushing debris into the holes. Not a good thing.

I used a razor blade, very lightly, on the shaft of the nozzle and it cleaned up really nice. I've been rubbing like hell with the toothbrush on the tip, but there's still a little carbon there. Hope someone chimes in soon!

The Injector Guru hisself!

What's up Keith?

Naw, I put a set of Jammers in 'cause my DD 2s pop off went south on me and fouled my oil.

I just wondered if I could salvage the extruded tips or not.

If you bought the 2's new from us or a dealer, just send them back and we'll take care of them for you.

Nobody got any info?

I'm going to try and get them tested on Monday, but I was quoted $200, OUCH! There's a place in Anaheim that'll look at them for free, if he's got the time. If not, I'll purchase some Bosio nozzles from KermaDTI. They've got a TDR special running right now, $148. 20 a set, if you use the code "TDR" when checking out.

BTW: Not affiliated, just passing on the good word! :D

now that sounds good!!!

Just got back from having the injectors tested. The tech said they're "like new. " The pressures are good and they flow beautifully. I got them done at a Bosch service center I found through Bosch's website. These guys do VP's too. They're around $1000 with a one year warranty. That is my next step, since I'm throwing the P0216 occasionally.
