Cleaning oil deposits

I wana clean up the oil blow by on the fan shroud and the radiator. Its like a brownie tight on there. .



I heard some people will just take simple grean 100% and spray it let it sit and then spray it down with water...



does that dry up the rubber hoses?



what else would you guys suggest?

I have been using Simple Green for years without any problems. It does not attack rubber or plastics.

I also use simple green. I have found that it works better when the engine is SLIGHTLY warm. I had a ton of build up on the block and other places. Used Simple Green and let it sit for about a min. and sprayed it off. made everything look like new again even the hoses... I have done about 4 times now and the hoses still look great... hope this helps

Thank you, i sprayed it down a little with simple green and went driving in MN here its been raining for last 2 days pretty hard and i put on about 200 miles on the highway 65+ so that should wash it off, i'll check tonight.



On another note, the oil deposits is on the FRONT of the radiator and its in the shape of the fan... i sprayed that as well so i need to see exactly how much it took off. . i'm almost tempted to take it off and brush it off nice and clean, since i have to change the coolant anyways, haven't cahanged it last 2 years at all.
