Fuel line Guru's, I need imediate advise!

clutch replacement costs

My old 2001 had a vacuum pump leak that, over a period of time, made a nice little oil spot on my carport. Can anybody suggest a special concoction or a specific driveway cleaner to help get rid of this stain? I've used the powerwasher, and it helped, but I'd like this stain gone!

Thanks for any suggestions!

Nick

Try Oxyclean. About 1/4 cup to a cup of hot water. Let it stand a few hours. You might have to wet it a couple times so it stays moist. Work great for me.

Quicrete

Quicrete also makes a concrete cleaner. I have used it on oil spots on my driveway and it works pretty darn good. I got it at Lowe's.

A friend of mine used some stuff made by Behr, I think he got it at Home Depot. It took old nasty oil stains off of his garage floor.

Just a couple of others for you to try if the oxyclean doesn't get it.

I use brake cleaner. Wet the spot with water, spray on the brake cleaner, hit with a scrub brush, rinse with water and you'll still see the spot. But when the concrete dries, the spot disappears. Good for small spot cleaning.

Hey guys thanks for all the suggestions! I'll try the OxyClean, and if that doesn't work, I'll move on to something that I can pick-up at Lowes. I hope to be able to get to it this weekend. I'll let ya'll know how it turns out.

Thanks again,

Nick

Go to an independent paint store that sells Benjamin Moore or Coronado products and ask for "Oil and Grease Emulsifier". These are concentrated, industrial grade products and draw oil out amazingly well.

Moore's #M83-00, Coronado #93-500.

I always use a little bit of gasoline and brush it into the stain. It works great. Just be very careful using it and make sure there are no sparks around.

I just use regular oil dry absorb or cat litter. But put it on the stain and then do the Twist. Grind it in with your foot. It will turn to powder and pick up alot.

Ditto what Rebel said. I use that method and grinding it in with your foot to turn it into dust. Let it sit and it is amazing how much it can get out.

Wow guys thanks for all the replies! If I can't get these stains off with the above methods, I must be doing something wrong! It looks like Saturday I'll be doing some scrubbing.

Thanks,

Nick
