Clear Protective tape

[NVR FNSH]

Looking for 12mil (or thicker) clear 3M tape like Geno's sells. Geno's is 8mil thick. I want to put the stuff under my 'paint rubbing' Dodge mudflaps before installing them. A long time ago I found a site or two for this stuff & now I can't find the site. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Couldn't put 2 layers of Geno's 8 mil on and get 16 mil?

I got some from my local Advanced Auto Parts store, it was only 1" wide but I doubled it to use under the boot on my shell. I'm sure Pep Boys should carry some too.

Remember to apply the clear protective tape to the painted surface of your Ram NOT the mating surface of the mud flap otherwise paint removal will still result.
