Clearance between turbo shaft and bushings?

Does anyone know how much clearance there normally is between the shaft and the bushings in a turbo charger?

If you are asking about side to side play on the shaft/wheel to housing . 020" for the smaller holset chargers.

My '97 Ram FSM shows the stock turbo radial clearances as 0. 012-0. 018". Most probably wouldn't to to far off that, I wouldn't think.

General "rule of thumb" to gauge turbo bearing tolerances: no more than an 1/8th of an inch up or down, in or out. . If you can hold the turbo shaft up, rotate it & feel contact with the turbo housing, it's hosed... .
