Clearance & Tailgate lights (Long Sorry!!!)

Below is an exchange of emails between me and the dealer concerning these lights and pricing. I am sure the red lamps are $19. 36 each despite what he is telling me. After all the yellow clearance lights are $30. 64 and I doubt the base is that expensive. :--)



I think I am okay quoting the price he gave me.



Looking for alternative; any help!!!!

attached is a picture of the lamp assemble.

it is hard for us to tell, because we do not have one on hand to look at.

but we would have to say that number 24 points to the red part of the lamp

and consists of all three.

the side marker lamp is only serviced as a complete unit. the base or the

lamp cannot be bought separately.

I just purchased the rear light bar for my truck from the dealer, I have the invoice and home and I can look up the prices for you. The lamps for the rear bar do have to be purchased seperately, but I don't think that they were $19/piece.



I grab my invoice at lunch and can post what the cost was. Also, for the clearance lights, were you referring to the dually fender marker lights or the cab marker lights? I have prices for the new style cab lights if you need them.

OK, here are the prices that I have for those pieces...



The first price is List, the second is Net.



Tailgate light bracket - $26. 90 - $17. 60

Wiring harness - $49. 61 - $37. 60

Red tailgate lights (3 needed) - $20. 21 - $12. 25

Guys,

Got to NAPA for the lights. They are only around $2. 00 each there. I bought some replacements for my truck there.

Dealer wanted $13. 00 each for the lights

AggieJustin ~ was talking about the dually fender clearance lights. I don't normally buy to much from JCWitney but the had the rear light bar LED a lot cheaper. Anyone ever use the one they sell.



Just seems way expensive to me.

I'm not sure Bob. I just had to buy replacements lights for my truck. If they do, I'm pretty sure it will be a universal type that won't fit as good as te factory type.

FWIW, the D/C light bar uses Peterson Manufacturing 154 series lamps.

Thanks Thomas now if I can only find a place to buy them at reasonable price and not 12 at a time.



gitchesum ~ I probably will compromise also on something decent looking but not an exact match for factory ID bar. As for side clearance probably will pay the price to make sure it matches. Still $31. 00 is a lot!!!!:--)
