2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Clearcoat Chipping

I was washing my 2nd Gen and noticed on top of the cab a spot of clearcoat about half the size of a dime chipping off with areas starting around it. Is there anyway of recoating it or slowing it down until the whole truck would need to be repainted (which would be a while)? Since it is on top of the cab anything that looked decent would be okay.
