My 03 ho in the last few months has had a noticeable clicking noise under the hood when warm. It sounds like a loose rocker arm. I check all the valve adjustments and they are fine. I ran the truck with the valve cover off and the noise seems to be coming from an injector? My fuel mileage had gone down quite a bit, but there is no evidence of fuel in my oil! Is it possible that the injector can make this noise? I have tries three different fuel additives but nothing has helped. In fact i think i may have another injector starting as well as the noise is getting louder. I don't really care that is louder, it's a diesel what else would it be if it wasn't loud. I just know that it is not right and want to fix it. The truck only has 18,000 km on it(11,000 miles) Anyone have this problem or know the fix.

It depends on what sound you're describing. If it's a "click", I'd say there's a solenoid problem with one (or more) of your injectors. If it's a "knock" then it's probably the infamous 3rd gen knock. Check out this thread.
