Clock Flashing???

In my 1990 D350 i have a factory radio that has been doing some flashing. The radio shows the time and staion, but it does a very dim glow and a very bright glow. It only does it when i go over bumps and when im just driving around town. It even does it when the truck is just idling. So i would really appericate the feedback.

It sounds like a bad ground. There is a wire in one of the two plugs that connects to ground. I would try tracing that to see where it is bolted in. I bet it is loose.

I can tell you that the ground goes into the harness. Check the plugs on the radio, even the antenna cable. If you don't find anything loose, either clip a jumper wire on the radio to ground and test drive it, or just install a ground wire to it. An extra ground won't hurt anything anyways.

It's either a power or ground issue, and I know what I'd bet on.

Thanks you guys for the feedback. My friend and i are going to put my sirius radio in my truck tomorrow so when we take out the factory radio we'll look at the wires and see if anything is wrong. Thanks again
