I had planned to take it in next week. But tonight at 16640 miles BOING I guess it goes to te dealer in the AM.

Mine just went BOING about 10 minutes ago. GRRRRRRRRR! Do you know if you got the dreaded reflash in the process?

I don't think they reflashed it. It doesn't run any different. When I called the dealer this morning "bring it in no problem".

An hour later the service writer asks if I have the wheel mount radio controls and says "can't help you on national backorder". I told him I had talked to his boss earlier. The writer went in, then said we just got 24 in this morning. So some dealers might be having trouble keeping up with the demand.

I think the reflash that has everyone's dander up is emissions related. Being in CA I wonder if yours may already have it or a different one that doesn't need a change since it's for CA. Did you buy your truck in CA?

Hyde,

I had the clock spring replaced about 6 weeks ago, before I heard on the TDR about the recall ( or got my recall notice in the mail). I also bought my truck in CA, took it to a different dealer to fix it, and as far as I can tell, they didn't do a reflash. I have heard that when they do a reflash, they put a sticker or something on your truck under the hood up near the fan shroud so other technicians will immediately see it and know when the truck was reflashed last. Nothing like that on mine, and it also runs the same as it did prior to new clock spring.

Dealer didn't even flinch at all my performance stickers all over the truck (DD, Amsoil, K&N,... )
