I bought my truck almost 2 years ago and was bone stock (59K). Changed fluids and air cleaner which was like a mud brick! Since then I've added the rv 275s, then did trans and put drag comp on. Egts super high , tried hx 40 then went out and bought HHT Killer b w/64 and they still were high. Upgraded to 150hp edms (bought from Logan Hill TDR member)and upgraded to Sledpuller 66 turbo. Went to dyno (dynojet and only made 430hp) which I tought was low. Drove truck all winter not thinkng about it. Now truck pullin season is around the corner so I went and dynoed again on a Mustang dyno. Only made 393hp (corrected) with box 5X5. Have water/meth also (10hp on dyno and no drop in temp) at all. Thought maybe I had some junk injectors so bought a new set of Mach 5. Truck doesn't seem that different when driving it. Talked with Paul from HTT and he thinks I have a intercooler problem. The 66 will not clear the smoke with just the Mach 5s and I can peg my 1500* pyro. With box on its pegged before 50-60 mph. Ive talked to Snow Performance several times with different settings and still no egt drops. Why is this thing so hot? Has anyone seen or heard of a clogged intercooler. I'm I not getting something here? Boost #s are fine around 46 lbs. Spools good, just wondering if the actual cfm is not there. Paul says around 920cfm from that turbo. I want to go dyno again with Mach 5s but waiting for my ported head and studs first. What are some common egts with 5s and a comparable turbo. What kinda hp will I see with 5s ,drag comp, water/meth. , sled puller 66, afeair intake, 4" straight piped ex. ,DTT full billet shafts 91%, (had conv. locked out too on dyno),soon ported & studded head & cam?. I need some ideas here. Should I get the intercooler boilded out like a radiator. To me, it should never get dirty inside except the kid I bought truck from wheeled it alot and like I stated before, the air cleaner was trashed. The waste gate was stuck on the stock turbo when I did get truck which was throwing codes, not that has to do with this now. Maybe dirt through actuator hose going to wastegate? I'm stumped thats all I can say!!!!
